Suzuki's Splash down for Paris

This is the Splash, a far-from-subtle computer-generated hint at Suzuki's next model, to be introduced in late 2007.Suzuki is billing the Splash as a 'clinic model' for the Paris motor show but in essence, it's a pointer to the firm's forthcoming rival for the Fiat Panda and Honda Jazz.

The Splash shares the same platform as the fine Swift but has a relatively tall body to increase interior space. It's 5cm shorter than a Jazz, for example, but nearly 13cm taller and 10cm wider.

Power comes from an all-new 1.2-litre four-cylinder petrol engine, fed through a four-speed automatic gearbox. Suzuki says the Splash can accommodate five people.
