Top-level changes for both Volkswagen and Nissan are announced, while Qoros opens a new flagship dealer in Shanghai

Chinese car maker Qoros has opened its first dedicated dealership. The purpose-built, 4000-square-metre site in Shanghai is the first showroom for the brand, and is set to be just one of the 100 outlets that are planned to open by the end of next year.

Volkswagen Group UK has appointed a new managing director. Paul Willis starts from 1 February 2014, taking over from Paul Willcox. Willis has worked for various VW departments since 2000, including heading up the 'passenger cars' department and as chief operating officer for Skoda China.

Meanwhile, Paul Willcox returns to Nissan as its European chairman. Willcox joined Nissan GB in 1992, and in 2011 he took up the position of senior vice president in sales and marketing for Nissan Europe, but left this September to go to VW.
