Ford shows new 99g/km Co2 EcoBoost engine, meanwhile Saleen promises a new car this month

Ford's 99bhp 1.0-litre EcoBoost Focus has become the first petrol engined family car in Europe to offer sub-100g/km of CO2 emissions. The Focus 1.0-litre EcoBoost will offer 67.5mpg when it goes on sale early next year. The previous version of the 1.0-litre EcoBoost engine offered 109g/km Co2.

The new Chevrolet Trax has gone on sale. Three engine options, a 1.6-litre and 1.4-litre petrol and a 1.7-litre diesel are available, with two trim levels to choose from. The Trax costs from £15,495 rising to £20,495 for a top-spec model.

SsangYong's Turismo MPV has gone on sale in the UK. Powered by a 153bhp 2.0-litre diesel engine the car is available with either a six-speed manual or five-speed automatic gearbox in either S, ES or EX trims. Prices start at £17,995 rising to £23,995.

Saleen will unveil a new design at the Laguna Seca circuit later this month. No firm details have been released regarding the car, with company iniders only saying they expect it to "rise to the standard of speed and style" of founder Steve Saleen. 

Nissan has launched a new personalisation programme for the Juke. A range of 15 different styling options in eight colours can be ordered for the car, which can be previewed in via a 3D rendering. Nissan says that with all the options on its Juke considered, the possibilities are now "almost infinitie."
