The new Ford B-Max baby MPV will cost from £12,995 when it goes on sale in the UK in September.
Ford's 1.0-litre, three-cylinder Ecoboost unit will be offered alongside 1.4 and 1.6-litre petrols, plus 1.5 and 1.6-litre Duratorq diesels and buyers can choose between three specification levels, including Studio, Zetec and Titanium.
With exception of the 1.6-litre petrol car, all engine variants of the B-Max are mated to a five-speed manual gearbox. The 1.6 variant drives the car's power through Ford's six-speed Powershift automatic 'box.
Ford’s new 1.0-litre three-cylinder petrol engine (first used in the Ford Focus) returns a claimed fuel economy figure off 55.4mpg (57.7mpg on stop-start-equipped models) and emits 119g/km and 114g/km CO2 respectively.
The cleanest and most economical B-Max model – the 1.6 Duratorq TDCi – achieves a claimed economy figure of 70.6mpg and emits 104g/km CO2. This engine variant is available on top-spec Titanium models only.
As standard, the Ford B-Max is equipped with a fold-flat passenger seat, 'one hand one motion' fold flat rear seats and a DAB.
Mid-spec Zetec models are priced from £15,600 and feature 15-inch alloys, LED daytime running lights, chrome touches to the B-Max’s window and grille surrounds and a leather-trimmed steering wheel and gearknob.
Flagship Titanium B-Max cars add 16-inch alloys, cruise control, rain-sensing lights and windscreen wipers and an uprated stereo with multi-function display.
