Waiting lists for the updated BMW X5 are already stretching to 2005 according to BMW dealers, although keen buyers can jump the queue if they're willing to pay over the odds.
Specialist brokers, including Autoworld Prestige (01932 829222), are offering the chance to beat the wait for a premium of around £1250 on the list price for the most popular 3.0-litre diesel model.
