Maserati is to offer its more powerful 4.7-litre V8 GranTurismo with a full automatic gearbox for the first time when it unveils the car at the Geneva motor show next week.
The Maserati GranTurismo S Automatic will use the six-speed ZF automatic gearbox previously only available in the 4.2-litre GranTurismo. The new automatic model will line up alongside the dual-clutch gearbox model already on sale. Both models will have 436bhp and 362lb ft of torque.
In addition to the new transmission, the Granturismo S Automatic will get new under-door skirting and ‘Trident’ 20-inch wheels to help differentiate it from its paddle-shift sibling.
Customers will also get Bluetooth as standard, and the option of iPod connectivity.
