Cheers Steve. All well and good, but it's still as ugly as sin. RR looks top draw. I'd have a Mecan over Evoque/RR Sport, but the full fatty over the Cayenne.

Let's settle this once and for all. We need the RRS SVR and Porsche Cayenne Turbo at the Thorpe of Brunting asap. Fight!!

Curious, in vids and pics the Cayenne looks like a slab-sided tank. Yet, in the metal it seems more taut, 'toned' and shapley - especially the rear view.

And when parked next to a current Range Rover, the Cayenne seems svelte in comparison - and significantly less chintzy and vulgar.

Good to see that at least one car manufacturer is not styling its cars soley for Dubai and Beijing.

Agree. The rrs still looks a bit of a hoody, especially from the back. And the SVR takes that a step further, it comes with a baseball cap behind the driver's sun visor.

...of the great explorers when asked about why they took on their daring achievements many said 'because we can'. Paraphrasing a little but when I don't get the same feeling when thinking about performance SUVs, any of them. All jolly good fun but why would you want to? 'Because we can' seems a little pointless in this arena.

Need a big, plush, refined SUV without being spat at? New Volvo XC90. Need to go down a road quickly? Name many and varied new sports cars with your choice of badge. I just don't get why you'd need, or want, to combine the two. Would I like to have a go in a Cayenne Turbo - or any performance SUV - just to see what it could do? Yeah, probably. But own one..?? Nope.
