The McLaren P1 and Porsche 918 are two of the hottest hypercars on offer at the moment, but how well will they fare against the fastest Ducati on sale? We pitch them both against a 1199 Superleggera to find out.

The Porker was great off the line. A lot closer than I thought it would be, I thought the bike would walk it.

Could we have a 918 v P1 v LaFerrari full lap of a circuit please?

Too bad the Ferrari people wobbled. It would have won the sound contest and for that reason it's probably still the one I'd buy if I could.

I'd like to see an article on how you got the aerial shots - was it a remote 'copter?

10 October 2014
if you look at 1:40ish you'll see the shadow of a quadrocopter drone...neat!

Hi, you can see remote helicopter in video from 1:49.

P1 is more than 6 seconds faster to 200mph than the 918. Now that's a revelation - an Autocar first. It's a shame though that Ferrari decided to sit it out. 918's enormous weight presumably holds it back.

Thank you so much!
Any chance to know 0-200 and 0-300 kph, and km standing?

TBC

It would be interesting to see the result if the Ducati had its limiter switched off. As for up to 110, could it be that the rider had to moderate the throttle to maximise traction and limit front wheel lift?

Thanks for that Steve and the guys. I remember posting some time ago that we needed the 918, P1 and LaF at the end of Bruntingthorpes runway. Pity Ferrari can't get over themselves and turn up.
They are supposed to be a racing/sports car marque, yet can't be bothered to join the conversation. Very sad.

@Cobnapint. Yes, they're scared of being beaten and losing sales. The daft thing is people who love Ferrari will buy them anyway, they won't care about the fraction of a second differences either way.
