All-new Lamborghini Huracan revealed; full MG 3 road test; new Mercedes-Benz C-class uncovered; Britain's best roads; Subaru XV hybrid driven; Toyota Supra Mk3 used buying guide

The presents are unwrapped, the turkey's gone, and the Queen's speech is a distant memory. What to do? Buy the special December 25 edition of Autocar, of course, which demonstrates once again that the car industry never rests.

Leading the new car reveals is the all-new Lamborghini Huracán, which Autocar's team has had exclusive access to. The Lamborghini Gallardo replacement claims better pace than a Ferrari 458, and we have exclusive pictures and all the details.

We also have exclusive pictures and details of the new Mercedes C-class, which its makers believe can topple the BMW 3-series through a combination of interior quality, cutting edge technology and superior driving dynamics.

Our jam-packed news section also reveals details of Ferrari's turbocharged engine future, Hyundai's latest concept plans and a look at the new Land Rover Freelander in the latest spy pictures. We also have a five-page special manufacturer-by-manufacturer analysis of the 2013 car market, written by industry expert Jay Nagley.

The subject of our full eight-page road test is the new MG 3, which endears for many reasons and signals that the Chinese-owned British marque has a brighter future than many believed.

Our first drive section is no less busy, with our first test of the popular BMW X5 xDrive 30d SE heading up the reviews. We also test the Subaru XV Hybrid, the first electrified car from the Japanese manufacturer, the Chevrolet Camaro - which offers a bright spot of news for the otherwise troubled manufacturer - and the Volvo V70 D5.

Long-term test fleet updates include the Mercedes CLS Shooting Brake, Mazda MX-5, Seat Leon, Audi RS4 Avant, Land Rover Defender, MG 6 and Morgan Plus.

Chances are, your mind will also be casting ahead to 2014 and how to make the most of the new year. We've got a multitude of suggestions, and to get you in the mood we sent Andrew Frankel off with a Porsche 911 GT3 and a simple brief: find Britain's best driver's roads and tell us what they're like.

We follow that extravaganza with Steve Cropley's rundown of the 14 things you should aim to do in 2014, ranging from competing in motorsport to buying a daft (but fun) car. If you agree or disagree with our suggestions, be sure to write in.

If that gets you in a buying mood, our used car columnist James Ruppert is looking to snare you with his rundown of tempting Nissan GT-Rs. We also have a three-page used buying guide on the fast, fun and very affordable Toyota Supra, which is now available from £1500, and pose the question as to whether you should spend £26,000 on a new BMW 1-series 120d xDrive or a used Bentley Continental GT.

Autocar magazine is available through all good newsagents, and available for download from Zinio and the Apple iTunes store.
