Specialist Porsche tuner Techart has launched two new performance upgrade packs for the new 911 Turbo, one of which boosts power to 612bhp.
The Techart Performance Kit TA 097/T2 adds a new sports air filter, new manifolds, a custom sports exhuast system and a reprogrammed ECU to take power to 612bhp and torque to 605lb ft. This is up from the 493bhp and 479lb ft the standard car produces.

The additions also help lower the 911 Turbo's 0-62mph time from 3.6sec to 2.9sec. It can also manage the 0-124mph sprint in 9.3sec and can reach a top speed of 207mph.
The entry-level Techart Performance Kit TA 097/T1 takes power to 562bhp thanks to some ECU tweaks a new air filter. The 0-62mph time with this pack is cut to 3.2sec; the top speed is 201mph.

Re: Techart's 612bhp 911 Turbo
I really like it, amazing they've got the 0-60 down to 2.9. Been impressed by Techart in the past, they even mananged to make the 1st gen Cayenne look stunning
Re: Techart's 612bhp 911 Turbo
Kind of makes the Veyron look over engineered doesn't it?, or indeed over kill, who, where and why would you want to go that fast on public roads? the Porsche at least is an everyday (well, almost!) and it's not a silly price relatively speaking and dare i say it's all the performance you'll ever need unless you find yourself sharing a piece of road with a Veyron and there's not much chance of that is there?.
