Mini Crossman On sale OctoberPrice £17–£23,000Based on a much-modified Mini platform, the Crossman will be bigger than the Mini hatch and offer five-door practicality, making it a better everyday proposition than the Clubman.

Mini E UK trials of the all-electric Mini begin in 2010; 40 selected drivers in the Southeast will run a fleet, but you won’t be able to buy one as they’re on trial only.

Mitsubishi Shogun On sale AprilPrice £23-£35,000New 3.2-litre diesel engine for the stalwart off-roader. More power and torque in both manual and automatic versions.

Mitsubishi cX On sale JulyPrice £14–£21,000Based on the Lancer hatch, Mitsubishi’s funky new urban SUV will rival the likes of the Nissan Qashqai. Both two and four-wheel drive will be available, teamed with a brace of updated engines: the 136bhp 2.0-litre DI-D and 141bhp 1.8-litre petrol unit.

Mitsubishi iMIEV On sale JulyPrice £20,000The electric version of Mitsubishi’s i city car will have lithium ion batteries and a hefty price tag.

Morgan Aero SuperSports On sale JanuaryPrice £127,000It uses a 367bhp 4.8-litre BMW V8 and has unique bodywork aft of the A-pillars, including a two-piece lift-off roof that stores in the boot. Under 200 will be built.

Nissan Cube On sale JanuaryPrice £14-£16,000Tall and wide, the bodywork will squeeze maximum space out of a supermini footprint for five occupants. Engines are a 1.6 petrol with manual or CVT ’box and a 1.5 diesel. The petrol comes first, followed in April by the diesel.

Nissan 370Z Roadster On sale MarchPrice £29-£34,000European specs for the 370Z Roadster haven’t been finalised yet, but the US version is a good guide. That car features a 332bhp 3.7-litre V6 and a choice of six-speed manual or six-speed auto ’boxes.

Nissan Qazana On sale OctoberPrice £12-£18,000Smaller than the family-oriented Qashqai, the Qazana will feature a funky cabin and stylish exterior to tempt urban dwellers out of their Minis.

Nissan GT-R SPEC M More luxurious GT-R may make it to UK next year; no decision has been made.

Noble M600On sale NowPrice £200,000 (est)Destined to be a supercar superstar, this mid-engined sensation from Leicester makes its way to its first owners in 2010

Peugeot – round-up A raft of Peugeots will get the firm’s new diesels next spring; the 1.6 and 2.0 HDi units will be fitted to the 5008, 308, 207 and 3008.

Peugeot RCZ On sale AprilPrice £20-£24,000The good-looking Peugeot RCZ will take on VW’s Scirocco next spring. Featuring three engines - a 156bhp 1.6 light-pressure turbo, 163bhp 2.0 diesel and a 200bhp 1.6 high-pressure turbo - the RCZ promises to major on driving pleasure

Peugeot 5008 On sale FebruaryPrice £17-£24,000Peugeot’s seven-seat MPV arrives early next year to take on the Vauxhall Zafira and VW Touran, among others. Useful features include a sliding centre-seat bench and full-length panoramic roof.

Peugeot iON On sale SeptemberPrice £20KThis is Peugeot’s version of the Mitsubishi iMIEV, which features the same running gear and lithium-ion battery pack. No firm prices yet, but expect it to be around £20k.

Porsche Cayenne On sale JulyPrice £38-£76,000Based on the new VW Touareg platform, the Cayenne’s upper body now features a sportier rising beltline, while the Touareg retains a utility look with a level beltline to make the rear cabin airier and more comfortable. The Porsche also features a sloping rear hatch, which again boosts its sporty styling.

Porsche 911 GT3 RS On sale MarchPrice £100,000“The most sporting 911 yet” is Porsche’s bold claim for the GT3 RS. Powered by a 444bhp 3.8 six, it’s 35bhp more powerful than the old one.

Porsche Panamera V6 On sale JunePrice £68-£72,000The entry-level V6 Panamera is tipped to arrive in the summer. Featuring a new 3.6-litre V6 with around 300bhp (to be shared with VW), it will have direct injection and intelligent oil and power steering pumps that cut out when not needed, saving up to 6mpg.

Renault Twingo and Clio Gordini On sale FebruaryPrice £14kAimed at Mini Cooper buyers, Gordini will be a new trim for the Twingo and Clio Renaultsport models. Expect a wide range of body and interior customisations, and an extensive range of alloy wheel design.

Renault Megane CC On sale MayPrice £22-£25,000The replacement for the folding hard-top Megane is said to be much better looking that today’s CC.

Renault two-seat convertible On sale JunePrice £12-£16,000La Regie will spring a surprise at Geneva with a sporty open-top two-seater aimed at the Vauxhall Tigra and Peugeot 207 CC.

REVA NXR On sale June Price £14,000 plus battery leaseReva, maker of the ungainly G-Wiz, launches a proper EV next summer. With a steel spaceframe chassis, airbags and a lithium ion battery pack, the NXR is a potentially a big step forward.

Rolls-Royce Ghost On sale January Price £197,000The body is steel, unlike the alloy-framed Phantom, and the 6.6-litre twin-turbo V12 is a Rolls development of the new BMW 760 unit, making 563bhp and 575lb ft of torque.The Ghost is surprisingly swift considering its 5.4m length and 2400kg: 0-62mph in 4.7sec and 155mph. Still, owners of this luxury saloon will be more interested in class-leading refinement and the cabin’s sense of occasion.

I may not be british but the new Mclaren is going to be awesome. Just wish it could could be faster than the Veyron.
