Rolls-Royce's £285k new model has a year's worth of back orders
10 March 2008

The forthcoming Rolls-Royce Phantom Coupé has already sold out, despite Rolls’ recent work to increase the production capacity at its Goodwood factory. More than 200 orders have been placed for the new £285k model accounting for the entirety of this year’s planned production. “Two thirds of the names in our early order bank are from non Rolls-Royce owners”, CEO Ian Robertson said, “It means we’re beginning to appeal to a broader audience.” Rolls-Royce’s sales have dramatically risen in recent years, with its other new model, the Phantom Drophead Coupé , sold out until summer 2009.
