Just 300 units will be coming to the UK
15 March 2010

Fiat has launched a special Pink edition of the 500C.

Just 300 units of the Fiat 500C Pink will be available in the UK and each model is based on the 1.2 Pop specification offering £1870 worth of equipment for an extra £1200.

See the Fiat 500C Pink pic

Each model will be painted bright pink and extra equipment includes 16-inch alloy wheels, chrome trim and body-coloured door mirrors.

Inside, the Pink gets a leather steering wheel and gearknob, Fiat’s Blue&Me infotainment system, new carpet mats and a split folding rear seat.

It will cost from £13,500 and is available to order now.

Our Verdict

Fiat 500C

The open-topped Fiat 500C is much more costly than its hatchback sibling. Is it worth the premium?

Even my partner's 11 year-old daughter thinks the colour is "gross"!

A car for the extremely girly girl me thinks! Doubt many of the autocar regulars will like it. I think its fine if thats what you like, but not something i'd consider buying

Nissan did a Micra C+C in the same colour and they sold them all so maybe this is a copy of that idea. As they only plan to shift 300 of them it won't be problem, but I think whoever buys one will have to decide that it is a car for life as no one will ever buy it from you.

Alternatively, every UK Fiat dealer could register one as a demo car and put their worst salesman it in for a month as punishment for being useless!

I am just surprised its not the 'default' colour, why not? it is a big girls car.

It's taken a while for us to get them, I saw several of these at the Europe Car hire place in Schipol Airport in January. They are extremely loud, not for the shy retiring type.

Oh dear. I'm off to Italy next month for a long weekend. Have booked a Panda as my hirecar but upgrades can happen.

[/quote]Travelling on business round Europe I always book hire cars usually with either Hertz or Europe Car and have never driven the car I originally booked. I usually go for a two door small car and have even been upgraded to a brand new Merc. SLK in the past, so watch out, Pink 500 on the way.
