Mercedes has unveiled a special SLS AMG Desert Gold at the Dubai motor show.
The Mercedes SLS AMG Desert Gold gets matte gold silk paintwork and the colour could become an option should there be sufficient demand for it. Mercedes is showing the car in Dubai as the Gulf state is AMG’s fourth largest region from sales after the US, Germany and Japan.

The changes on the Desert Gold edition over the standard car are purely cosmetic – as well as the gold paint, it gets a high-gloss black finish on the bonnet fins, flanks, filler cap and alloy wheels.
The exclusive theme runs continues inside as it gets black AMG sports bucket seats and a solid carbonfibre centre console.
Under the bonnet, the SLS's 6.3-litre V8 engine remains, which produces 563bhp and 479lb ft. The standard car goes on sale in the UK in July, with a estimated price tag of around £150,000.
