This teaser photo gives the first clues as to how the new, third generation Infiniti M performance luxury saloon will look.

The Infiniti M will be launched at the 59th annual Pebble Beach Concours d’Elegance on August 15.

However, even visitors to the launch event are not guaranteed to see the new car in the metal, as Infiniti is planning to unveil a 'virtual' version of the car.

Video mapping and projection technology is being used to create an exact replica of the vehicle.

The car will be the sixth Infiniti model to be launched in Europe, and will sit above the G37 Saloon in Infiniti's range.
