The anti-roll bars at the front and rear have been stiffened, by 26% and 19% respectively, while Honda has also added stiffness to the rear hubs and control-arm toe link bushings.
Software revisions for the hybrid powertrain and adaptive dampers, as well as the power steering and stability control system are aimed at making the car easier to live with day to day by improving the softness of the ride.
Exclusive tyres - Continental SportContact 6s - were developed specifically for the NSX and are now standard fit. These are claimed to improve response and feel during acceleration, braking and cornering.
These improvements, combined with a more responsive throttle, have contributed to a lap time improvement of two seconds around the Suzuka circuit over the pre-facelift version.
To meet Euro 6d-TEMP emissions requirements, the NSX is now also fitted with a particulate filter, in addition to turbocharger tweaks. The pre-facelift NSX produces 573bhp from its 3.5-litre hybrid V6, with 476lb ft of torque and four-wheel drive helping the car to achieve 0-62mph in 2.9sec and a top speed of 191mph. There's no word on if performance is improved for the post-facelift car.
The facelifted car is marked out by subtle exterior revisions, such as black mesh in the front and rear bumpers rather than the silver mesh before, although a bright orange paint option, with available matching brake calipers on the optional carbon-ceramic brakes, will help in identifying facelifted cars from the pre-facelift NSX.
