Revamped version of three year-old baby Ford due at Frankfurt
25 June 2005

After three years on sale the Ford Fiesta is being facelifted in an effort to appeal to younger buyers.'s spies spotted this lightly disguised Fiesta testing in Germany and its revised nose and tail can clearly be seen.

The Fiesta is mechanically unchanged, but there's a revamped cabin to address criticisms of the current car's bland interior. The car is due to be unveiled to the public at the Frankfurt Motor Show in September before going on sale towards the end of the year.

For more pictures and information, see next week's revamped Autocar magazine, on sale Tuesday 28 June.

Our Verdict

Ford Fiesta
Fiestas sold in Europe are ostensibly the same as those sold in America and Asia

The seventh-generation Ford Fiesta is the UK's best selling car, helped by frugal engines, handling verve and a big car feel
