Ken Block's new Rally America Championship car has been shown off for the first time

The striking livery of Ken Block’s new Ford Fiesta rally car has been revealed.

Block will compete in the Monster-backed car in the Rally America Championship, which starts in Michigan on 29 January, and the 2010 X Games.

The American will also be competing in selected rounds of the WRC this season in a Ford Focus before entering for a full season in 2011.

Block is famous in America for his Gymkhana exploits in his Subaru Impreza WRX STi, but this is the first season in which he will be competing for Ford.

I think it's the Championship regs - it has to be based on a car available for sale in the US - and the fiesta will be sold there as a four & five door only.

Normally a 3 door shell is stronger - having an extra aperture in the side of the structure weakens it (and restricts where you can stiffen it up).
