Blue Oval relaunches busiest UK dealership, with added environmental credentials

Ford has unveiled a £5.3million refit for its flagship dealership in Dagenham, East London. Not only is it set to be the brand’s busiest UK dealership, it’s also going to be the greenest, too. Like the neighbouring engine factory, Dagenham Motors will use a wind turbine to provide a large percentage of its power. The dealership’s central heating system will be run on recycled engine oil and rainwater will be harvested and filtered for car washing. In another Ford carbon-saving initiative, customers servicing their cars at a Ford main dealer from September will be offered the opportunity to offset their car’s carbon emissions. The offset will be achieved through BP’s Targetneutral scheme, based on the customer’s personal mileage and the emissions of his car.

Re: Ford’s green showroom

Thoroughly excellent - Ford are to be commended. We should all follow suit where at all possible.
