Autocar has launched a Facebook fan page – and you can sign up at autocar.co.uk/facebook

Formally launched last week, the fan page has already attracted more than 1500 followers through word-of-mouth recommendations.

Coverage so far has included the most expensive car insurance claim ever, a road test of the Audi R8 Spyder and a sneak look at a hot new AMG Mercedes saloon.

Fans from India currently lead the way, outweighing UK fans two to one. There’s also a strong following from the Czech Republic, Turkey and Lithuania.

The Facebook page sits alongside Autocar's successful YouTube video channel and Twitter page in promoting autocar.co.uk's content to a wider audience.

Don't understand why anyone on this site would need to follow Autocar on Facebook !

I would have thought the same. My wife spends hours on Facebook and comes off calling most of the people she's accepted as friends on it. Bloody waste of time.
