Salon Privé is back in London this week with a new venue, more exhibitors than ever and an impressive line-up of exotica.
At its new venue of Syon Park, the luxury and supercar show is a world away from traditional show halls of Frankfurt and Geneva. Syon Park’s lawns today played host to cars including the Range Rover Evoque, Lamborghini Aventador and Morgan Threewheeler.
There was a distinctly British flavour to Salon Privé, with organisers wanting to create an intimate “English garden party” theme. As well as the Evoque, Jaguar Land Rover brought with it its latest versions of the XF and XK, including the hardcore XFR and XKR-S models.
Aston Martin showcased its new Virage and V8 Vantage S models in the UK for the first time, while there were also UK debuts for the electric Rolls-Royce 102EX and the revised Bentley Continental GT.
The final production version of the Noble M600 made its debut at Salon Privé too, where it lined up alongside supercar rivals in the shape of Ferrari’s 458 Italia and the aforementioned Aventador. Lamborghini also gave UK showgoers their first look at the hardcore open-top Gallardo Performante.
