Executive saloon has been on show in California, but the 200t version won't be coming to the UK

The facelifted Lexus GS has made its debut at Pebble Beach in California.

The new GS200t features a 2.0-litre turbocharged petrol engine and eight-speed automatic gearbox and will go on sale in selected markets later this year.

Although the model shown at Pebble beach isn’t scheduled for a UK launch, the GS is still coming to the UK, with prices and specifications to be announced in September.

The refreshed model comes with a new-look front end that includes new LED headlights. Other styling upgrades include new wheels, interior trim options and exterior colour choices.

The GS will also come as standard with Lexus’s SafetySystem+, which includes Pedestrian Detection, Lane Keep Assist, Adaptive High Beam System, Traffic Sign Recognition and All-Speed Adaptive Cruise Control.
