Visitors to the British Motor Show will be able to test drive a virtual version of the Lotus Evora in Gran Turismo 5

The paint is barely dry on the new Lotus Evora, but it hasn’t stopped Lotus and Sony from collaborating on creating a version of the car for Gran Turismo 5, exclusively available to visitors at the British International Motor Show.

Game developer Polyphony has already digitised the Evora in exquisite detail, and visitors to the motorshow can drive it around a London street circuit on terminals sited on the Lotus stand at Excel.

Although nobody outside of Lotus has driven an Evora yet, we’re assured that the virtual representation of the 276bhp alloy chassis 2-plus-2 will stick closely to way the real car will handle when it goes on sale next year. The Evora will also feature in future versions of GT, and it may be available as a download before then.
