Mercedes is to expand its AMG division into 15 countries
27 November 2008

Mercedes has made plans to launch 175 dedicated AMG Performance Centres by next year, renewing its commitment to its performance car division.

The scheme will offer a dedicated, more personal service for AMG owners by opening the bespoke showrooms.

Mercedes said it wants to build a closer relationship with AMG customers in 15 countries, including the UK.

The redesigned AMG showrooms will be much plusher than standard Merc dealerships. Benz is training staff specifically on everything to do with AMG.

A hotline will also be offered, direct to the home of AMG in Affalterbach, should drivers have any problems with their performance Merc.

There are also plans for an AMG Performance Roadshow that will tour all 175 centres.
