This is Hyundai's new Golf/Focus rival, the Arnejs, spied before its launch at the Paris motor show.Hyundai has yet to release any official images of the car beyond its design sketch, but our sources at the firm have confirmed - through gritted teeth - that these images, leaked onto the Internet this morning, show the car in its Paris motor show form.
The Arnejs has been designed at Hyundai's European styling studio at Russelsheim in Germany. Its rakish looks are designed to give the Korean manufacturer an attractive alternative to relatively conservative big sellers from Ford and Volkswagen.
We think it looks great - but the real test will come when Hyundai turns the car from concept into reality. We were big fans of Kia's Cee'd concept, and a tad disappointed with the relatively tame translation into production model.
