Best new car deals
The Citroën DS3 offers a chic alternative to typical superminis as well as reasonably practical competition for the Mini Cooper. Prices can be inviting, and we spotted a cabriolet model from Broker4Cars selling for £16,623, a saving of £4191 off the list price.
The Skoda Octavia is by far the Czech brand's best-selling model and offers all the refinement we'd expect from the VW Group as well as good value for money. We spotted a great offer from UK Car Discount, where a 2.0-litre TDI SE is selling for £19,486 – a saving of well over £3000 off the list price.
Best new car leasing deals
There are plenty of good reasons why the Mercedes-Benz E-class consistently ranks among our top mid-size executive models, not least of which are a world-class ride and excellent looks. One deal we spotted from Lease99 offers an E220 estate for just £245 a month on a two year contract, with an initial payment of £2212 and a 10,000-mile annual limit.
The Volvo V40 provides a real alternative to the traditional German offerings in the premium hatch sector. Leasing-Deals is currently offering the 1.6-litre diesel model in SE LUX trim for just £222 a month, with an initial payment of £1332 on a three-year contract with a maximum 8000-mile annual limit.
Deal of the week
With a new Ford Focus set to go on sale later this year, dealers will be keen to clear old stock, so deals on the current Mk3 model are not hard to find. We found one offer from Orange Wheels, where a 1.0-litre Ecoboost Titanium Focus is selling for just £14,776 – a massive £5320 saving off list price.
