Toyota reveals new GT86; PSA reveals first quarter results; Mercedes says no to small SUV

The Toyota GT86 sports car has been updated for the 2015 model year. Upgrades include more rigid front suspension and new rear shock absorbers for better handling. Inside, new carbonfibre trim features on the dashboard, while a more aerodynamic shark-fin antenna sits on the roof.

PSA says revenues from its automotive division were up by two per cent in the first quarter of this year. The group puts its success down to exta demand in China and recovery in Europe. The firm aims to have a recurring positive cashflow by 2016, buoyed by the its 'Back in the Race' plan.

Mercedes-Benz SUV boss says the company isn't planning on launching an SUV smaller than the GLA. He also commented on suggestions that the Mercedes-Benz GLA is merely a raised A-class, saying the model was, in his opinion, "a true SUV"
