The best new car deals and new car leasing deals for this week, including offers on the Audi A8, Mercedes B-class, Citroën DS4, Ford Kuga and Renault Mégane

If you’re in the market for a new car, or after the best new-car leasing deal, you can save thousands with a little research. This is the pick of what our deals experts have found this week.

Best new car deals

The Audi A8 ranks among our favourite luxury saloons, and Drive the Deal is currently offering a 3.0-litre TDI quattro model in SE trim for the heavily discounted price of £41,760. That's a huge saving of 35 per cent from the £64,260.

We know Mercedes-Benz is planning to introduce a facelifted B-class hatchback in October, so it stands to reason that prices on the current model are falling. We spotted a B220 CDI Sport model going for £26,070 on UK Car Discount, a saving of over £2000 from the list price.

Best new car leasing deals

The Citroën DS4 is stylish and offers good novelty value, so can represent an interesting prospect for lease buyers. We found a 1.6-litre e-HDI 115 model in DStyle trim for £215 per month on Vehiclesavers, with a deposit of £1935 and on a two-year contract. There's also a mileage limit of 10,000.

Ford's Kuga offers genuine driver engagement at a decent price, and Yes Lease is currently offering a 2.0-litre TDCi Zetec 2WD version for £221 per month. That's on a two-year contract and with an initial payment of £1331. There's also a 10,000-mile annual limit.

Deal of the week

As Renault takes back the Nürburgring lap record from Seat with its latest hot Mégane, it's worth remembering that prices on the standard car are still good. is offering up to 37 per cent off a 1.5-litre dCi Dynamique TomTom Energy model, bringing the price down to £12,995.

Ok, the DS4 diesel DStyle is

Ok, the DS4 diesel DStyle is £20700 roughly new, and after 2 years, on Autotrader they seem to have lost around £10000. So actually, doesn't seem to bad a deal really, but of course these figures don't include any discounts you'd get. Personally, I think the Kuga deal is better. It costs less over the 2 years, and the car is more expensive than the Citroen.

Am I the only one who finds leasing deals hard to evaluate?

Take the quoted example for the Citroen C4. By my calculations this is going to cost more than £7000 in leasing charges (plus cost of fuel, tax, insurance etc) just for the privilege of travelling 20,000 miles over two years. Now this may be cheaper than the depreciation this car might suffer if the car was purchased outright, but it doesn't seem like a good deal to me.
