The Mercedes G-class will go back on sale in the UK this autumn.
Despite being sold for 30 years, the G-class off-roader hasn't been available here for ten years.

It will be sold with the choice of a 218bhp G350 diesel or the 493bhp G55 AMG. The latter engine takes the car from 0-62mph in 5.5sec.
A commercial version, called the G 300 CDI Professional, will also be available. Mercedes describes it as "ideal for tough working conditions in hard-to-reach locations".
Prices range from £57,975 and rise to £114,975 for the AMG model. The G-class will only be avaialble through Mercedes's Brooklands dealership.

I absolutely love the G-Wagon, I spent a week bombing around Tokyo in a Brabus version a few years ago and totally fell for it.
The price is pretty steep though but should my numbers ever come up I'll have one in a shot!

RHD? Photoshopped more like! They haven't even got a RHD model in the country yet - the photos with Canary Wharf in the background are mirror images of the real thing. They've even airbrushed the Citi logo so that it's the right way round. Confirmed - more photos on www.netcarshow.com - there's a London bus going down the "left" side of the road, yet the driver of the G-Wagon is on the near side...

i don't care what anyone says, i want one, and i want one now.
folks if you buy a HUMMER H2 or an Escalade or even a rangey (sport) over this you have got a taste by pass
