A bespoke Mercedes CLS 63 AMG Shooting Brake, customised by Saville Row-based Spencer Hart was unveiled last night. It features black accents replacing the exterior brightwork and Chocolate Brown leather seats with blue stitching. The car is finished in a specially created ‘Nick Hart Midnight Blue’. The car showcases the customisation options offered by the AMG Performance Studios.
The European Commission has adopted plans to make the eCall emergency response system compulsory on all passenger cars by 2015. The system automatically dials the European 112 emergency number in the event of a serious crash and could save up to 2500 lives a year. The eCall system sends emergency services the time of the accident, position of the car and direction of travel.
A procession of Mazda MX-5s has set the world record for the longest-ever parade of Mazdas. The RDW Test Centre at Lelystad, Netherlands, saw 683 MX-5s shatter the previous record of 459 cars in Essen, Germany.
Volvo's "Bored of German Techno? Try some Swedish Metal" scheme offers would-be buyers to road test a Volvo V40 and a Mercedes A-class back-to-back. Should the buyer choose the Mercedes, Volvo will pay the first month's payment, up to the value of £299.

The CLS in this configuration
The CLS in this configuration demonstrates that you do not need chrome and huge lights to make a car look good (and expensive). This is probably one of the best looking cars that I have seen for years.

The Merc looks fine but I wish the rims could be slightly bigger!

Chocolate Brown leather and blue stitching are available from Mercedes' customisation studio - They may be available, but why would anyone choose that colour combination.
