Peugeot UK ace and IRC champion crashes out on day two of the rally

Kris Meeke has crashed out of Rally Monte Carlo on day two.

The current IRC champion skidded off on a patch of ice into a bridge before sliding down a bank.

Although his Peugeot 207 didn’t sustain substantial damage, Meeke and co-driver Paul Nagle were unable to get the car back onto the road.

The accident occurred on the first stage of day two on Labatie D'Andaure-St Pierre sur Doux.

Meeke ended day one in second place, 42 seconds behind rally leader Mikko Hirvonen, who is driving the Ford Fiesta S2000 in its competitive debut.

Re: Meeke out of Rally Monte Carlo

Bad news, i was watching it on Eurosport yesterday and he was doing well. The new fiesta S2000 was doing very well too, and unlike the road version it looks great.
