Honda will bring its groundbreaking humanoid robot ASIMO to London next month, as part of the European tour begun at last year’s Frankfurt motor show, and taking in Honda’s major facilities, as well as various scientific and robotic events.

The bipedal automaton known as ASIMO, which stands for Advanced Step in Innovative Mobility, will be on show at the Science Museum in Kensington between the 16th and 22nd of February.

Widely considered to be one of the most advanced robots in the world, it’s come closer than ever to replicating the way people walk. Capable of walking, cornering, and tackling stairs, it also recognises people, objects and gestures, identifies voices and sounds, responds to instructions, and exchanges simple sentences.
