Audi's rapid S4 becomes available to order in soft-top form this month. Priced at £40,275, it'll be some two thousand pounds cheaper than its closest rival, BMW's M3 convertible, when it arrives at UK dealers in April.
Accelerating from rest to 62mph in a claimed 5.9secs, it's not quite a match for the BMW on pace. However, its generous 4.2-litre V8 powerplant and quattro four-wheel-drive system are sure to add to the car's desirability.
External distinguishing features will be 18" alloys, xenon headlights and aluminium exterior mirrors. Inside, Audi's hottest four-seat cabriolet will be identified by grey instrumentation, nappa leather and alcantara electric sports seats, a leather-rimmed steering wheel, and carbon-fibre inserts in the fascia and doors.
