The future of the supermini, according to Nissan

From Mike Duff in Frankfurt

Nissan's take on the future of the small car comes with this battery-electric mini coupe, which we're told is meant to be "99 percent evil and one percent cute." Produced at Nissan's Toyko studio by a team of young designers, most of who were in their early 'twenties, the idea was to create a car capable of re-establishing an emotional connection for the next generation of buyers with styling themes drawn from Manga cartoons. The interior has a McLaren F1 style three-seat layout with a central driving position. The Mixim itself is pure show candy, but Nissan refuses to rule out the possibility of producing a similar-sized coupe incorporating some of the same themes.
