Vauxhall has launched two limited-edition VXR versions of the Corsa and Astra to celebrate VX Racing’s win in the 2008 British Touring Car Championship.
The VX Racing Editions will have a combined production run of 888 cars – a nod to Vauxhall’s race team Triple Eight Engineering – and will only be available in red and black, the VX Racing team colours.
Both cars get gloss-black alloys, a rear diffuser, tinted rear windows, black side strips and black mirrors. The Corsa and Astra VX Racing Editions also get leather Recaro seats as standard.
Prices start at £17,425 for the Vauxhall Corsa VX Racing Edition and £21,445 for the Astra. An optional VXR Remus exhaust is available at a lower price than normal; it boosts power by 19bhp.
