I enjoyed the podcast thanks and will be tuning in to more. The subject theme was apealing to me as this is not information that's readily available and presumably focuses on the interests of Autocar readers.
Although it is interesting to hear how a car's chassis responds near to it's limits, I listened all the way through to find out if any of the cars are engaging to drive at normal road speeds. I don't think Steering 'feel' was mentioned at all. I have read reviews of the Cupra and Kia and was left with the impression they were disappointingly numb in feel but this conversation left me with the impression the testers considered these car reasonable drivers cars. Which is it? I know describing a car's steering rarely extends beyond 'responsive' or 'direct' since electric assistance became the norm but I maintain that the steering is by far the most direct and relevant connection with the car. The driver has hold of the wheel continuously and is making constant adjustments. Our hands are our more sensitive apendiges allowing us to feed in delicate instructions and receive feedback at the same time. May be next time...
