First grainy image of Lamborghini's Paris concept leaks out
29 September 2010

This grainy leaked image is believed to be the first picture of Lamborghini’s new Paris motor show concept.

The image, leaked on to the internet by French blogging site blogautomobile, reveals the name of the concept to be Sesto Elemento Concept. According to the site, the name (which means Sixth Element in English) refers to the concept’s extensive use of carbonfibre – carbon having an atomic number of six in the periodic table.

It is said to weigh just 999kg and be capable of being powered from 0-62mph by its V10 engine in just 2.5sec and reach a top speed of 217.5mph.

Lamborghini will formally reveal its Paris concept on tomorrow’s first press day of the show.

It barely even looks like a car. Tech sounds promising though.

Pure Evil.

Love it!

Serious echoes of the Countach, more so than any Lambo of recent times. I think it's the front overhang and pumped up back end - it seems to give it much more of an interesting, bull-inspired stance than the Gallardo or Murcielago.

I love the precise top speed quote ... 217.5 mph - I wonder how they came up with it - mmmm - surprise surprise it equates to 350.03841 kph ....

;o)

Makes McLaren's sales job a bit harder. I'll be very surprised, though, if it actually comes out with fluids etc on board as 999 kgs. Looks fantastic for the Lambo crowd which is not exactly self-efacing!

No you got it all wrong. The top speed is 350.0000kph and then it translates to mph Its metric to imperial not the other way around.

Looks something like a Gallardo version of the Reventon - and none the worse for it. A very hot V10 car.

too many sharp edges for me, although the overall shape is menacing.

Really wonder how theyve got the weight down to 999kg, must be some promising tech in that.

The most enthusiastic response I can muster is: "Is that it?" A Lamborghini should be so much more...

29 September 2010

Very disappointed in this. They've just taken a generic Gallardo/Countach shape and flattened all curves. No imagination at all. I did stuff like this at college 20 years ago for fun. Lambo's should be the stuff of dreams, shocking even (countach! I believe someone once said when they saw an early 70's concept...) this is very, very predictable.
