VW has launched a new entry-level Golf Twist that will cost from just £12,995.
It is available to order now in three or five door guise and comes with more than £700 of additional standard equipment over the previous entry-level Golf, the S, on which it is based. That car costs from £14,880.

The five door version commands a £585 premium over the three door. Power comes from a 79bhp, 97lb ft, 1.4 petrol engine mated to a six-speed manual transmission. The Twist will accelerate to 62 mph from rest in 13.9 seconds and go on to a top speed of 107mph. It has combined economy of 44.1mpg and CO2 emissions of 149 g/km.
Standard equipment includes 16in Atlanta alloy wheels, an RCD 310 radio system with MDI multimedia connectivity and safety kit including ABS, ESP and seven airbags.

It sounds a good buy to me, with all the essentials and proven technology which should achieve the published figures (unlike the 1.2 version you tested) We will certainly be looking at it seriously as a replacement for the Almera.

Does anybody actually buy anything with broadspeed or just use them to beat dealers up on price?
Ive never understood how these brokers make a living?
