Land Rover clearly has high opinions of the new Range Rover Sport TDV8: it's just released prices for the V8-engined oil-burner, and it's just £875 less than its big brother, the Range Rover TDV8.
Although the Range Rover Sport range starts with the much cheaper TDV6 S at £35,665, model for model there's little to separate the £53,120 Range Rover Sport TDV8 HSE and £53,995 Range Rover TDV8.
Both use the same 3.6-litre unit producing 272bhp and 472lb ft, both come with an auto box, air suspension and leather upholstery and both use 19-inch wheels.
The 2007 model-year Range Rover Sport goes on sale on 1 November.
