Zenos cars announces US dealer, Hennessey Venom GT celebrates speed record, Audi reveals R18 e-tron race livery

Zenos Cars has announced a new deal to sell the first of its three-car range, the E10, in the US. Zenos Cars USA will start delivering E10 models to customers early next year. The E10 is described as a road-legal, track-focused sports car, and is powered by a 197bhp 2.0-litre Ford GDI engine.

A special edition of the Hennessey Venom GT has been revealed to celebrate the car’s speed record of 270.4mph, set at NASA’s Kennedy Space Centre last month. The special package wraps the hypercar in new red, white and blue livery. The Venom GT has 1244bhp available from its 7.0-litre twin-turbocharged V8 engine.

Audi has revealed the new livery for its R18 e-tron quattro Le Mans challenger, which will race at the famous 24-hour event in June. The LMP1-class racer has been undergoing testing at the Sebring raceway in the US. Audi says the V6-powered R18 e-tron is "fundamentally new", featuring new technology as well as advanced energy recovery systems.

Brabus revealed its tuned version of the Mercedes CLA45 AMG. Upgrades allow the fast coupé to produce a substantial 388bhp and 369lb ft of torque. Boasting a more muscular exterior and new red accents, the Merc’s 2.0-litre four-cylinder engine now propels the car to 60mph in 4.2secs and on to 168mph.

A new electric car with the ability to float on water has been designed by Japanese company Fomm. Using two electric motors producing 207lb ft of torque each, the Concept One’s wheels can create populsion both in and out of water. Targeting areas prone to flooding, the car is expected to sell for under £6000 in Thailand.
