It's a brilliantly capable car, sure, and it sounds brilliant - but why oh why oh why has anyone who's seen that design not gouged their eyes out and screamed with anguish? It's so frickin' ugly! Oh, and LOL at the moment when the car began to get stuck on the muddy bank, and suddenly the camera cut back to Vicky...

I think it was showing that it can climb and stop on a muddy bank! It didn't look like it was having any problems to me.

Looks wise this is now a vast improvement on the old model.

Good report Vicky!

Because its not German? Or are you going to quote some statistics? Its so evident that you dont like anything thats not German.

Utterly superb machine - fabulous breadth of abilities. And no, it wasn't getting stuck - just demonstrating that it can stop then restart on a muddy slope. I've done that in the previous Cayenne on road tyres, and it's an easy trick for it to pull off...

Well, much as I hate the Sport, I'd still rather have one of them than this ugly abortion (diesel V8 option, apart from anything!). But then I'd much rather have a proper Rangey. Sure, it won't dance on a track like this Cayenne, but why buy an SUV for its sports car qualities? The Rangey is greatly superior off-road, and that's all you need an SUV for. If you're determined to have a 5-door, five-seat Porker, buy a bloody Panamera. Only don't, just don't buy a 5-door Porker at all. I don't understand why it is you hate all that is not German...

Well, we saw it stop, but we didn't see it restart...
