Re: Porsche Cayenne video review
Re: Porsche Cayenne video review
Vicky Parrott sounds like she's struggling to make her voice lower than it really is. I don't know if it's on purpose or if that's her actual voice...
I thought that at 1:37 she'd had enough of it and would start talking normally, but at around 1:50 she's back to the grumbly low voice at its fullest.
Listen to how she says "sports car fun" at 2:21.
Anyhoo, her voice is none of my business, and that is not my point. My point is, does autocar believe good writers automatically make good video presenters? Did they even arrange a casting among the staff or did they just choose blindly, err... I mean, deafly?
Steve sutcliffe, and Matt Prior also have some moments when they speak in very...peculiar ways.
There's nothing wrong about sending video presenter candidates to speech therapy, quite the opposite: it makes sense.
Re: Porsche Cayenne video review
Sure, the X5 is a heffalump, but this is worse. Heck, I'd even prefer a first-gen Cayenne just for looks. But the more I think about it, the more I just think 'proper Rangey TDV8'.
