The best new car deals and new car leasing deals for this week, including offers on the VW Golf R, Audi A3 saloon, Mini coupé, Toyota Aygo and Nissan Note

If you’re in the market for a new car, or after the best new-car leasing deal, you can save thousands with a little research. This is the pick of what our deals experts have found this week.

Best new car deals

With the fourth-generation Volkswagen Golf R due to launch in the spring, discounts on the outgoing model are easy to come by. This offer from Drive the Deal is for a 2.0-litre TSI model with a discounted price of £31,215. That's a saving of £2855 from the £34,070 list price.

The all-new Mk3 Mini has already proven itself to be a worthy contender in the supermini market, but there are plenty of offers to be found on its older siblings, too. We found an offer worth watching from Broker 4 Cars, offering the 1.6-litre Mini coupe model with a multimedia pack for £17,251, a saving of £1068 from the £18,319 list price.

Best new car leasing deals

Audi's A3 saloon is comfortable and practical, and is currently very affordable too. We spotted an offer from National Vehicle Solutions, which gives you a 2.0-litre TDI model in Sport trim for £499.34 per month. That's on a two-year contract and with an initial rental payment of £2996.04. There's a 5000-mile annual limit, too.

The Toyota Aygo offers simple, budget motoring in a fairly stylish package. We found an offer for a 1.0-litre VVT-i Move model for £94.50 per month from Car4Leasing. That's on a 48-month contract, with an initial payment of £567 and with an annual mileage limit of 5000.

Deal of the Week

Nissan's Note may lack the driving dynamics of some of its rivals but remains a spacious alternative to more mainstream choices. The 1.2-litre DiG-S Tekna model we found has a potential saving of £2645.40 from UK Car Discount. The offer means customers pay £13,454.60 instead of £16,100.

What a joke of an article.

What a joke of an article. Things must be bad if they can't even get advertorials right.

That Golf R is a brand new MK7 version too.

The Audi has to be a typo. I saw an M5 on a two year deal for less than that.
