Brabus has beaten Mercedes-Benz to the punch with a tuned version of the Maybach super-limo. A 620bhp version of the car will appear on the Mercedes stand at the Geneva Motor Show next month, but Brabus has revealed details of its own 640bhp car, also to be unveiled in Switzerland.

Powered by a 6.3-litre V12 (right) that offers 757lb ft of torque from just 1750rpm, the Maybach has been clocked at 195mph at the Nardo test track in Italy, and will complete the 0-62mph dash in under five seconds. The car also gets bespoke 21-inch light alloy wheels.

On the inside, buyers capable of finding the £430,000 list price get a state-of-the-art multimedia system, including 15-inch TV screen, internet-enabled integrated computer with 80gb hard drive, six-disc DVD changer and sheepskin floor mats.
