New DiRT computer game to feature Colin McRae Memorial Cup
22 June 2009

World Rally Champion Colin McRae is to be honoured in the next instalment of the DiRT computer game.

The original version of the game was endorsed by McRae, who was killed in a helicopter accident shortly before its launch.

Now the game's producer, Codemasters, has announced it will include a Colin McRae Memorial Cup as part of the sequel, as a tribute to the rally champion.

The Colin McRae Memorial Cup section of the game will only be accessible by drivers who achieve good results, and it will also feature a section where rival drivers talk about their memories of McRae.

DiRT 2 is set to be launched in September for the Xbox, PlayStation 3, Wii, Nintendo DS and PSP.
