Juho Hänninen has been announced as Hyundai's new test driver for the 2013 season.
The announcement of the Finnish driver has ended weeks of rumour over the identity of Hyundai's mystery tester. Hänninen will be putting Hyundai's Hyundai i20 WRC through its paces in a variety of conditions and surfaces ahead of its debut at the Monte Carlo Rally in January next year.
Hänninen won the Intercontinental Rally Challenge in 2010, plus the FIA Super 2000 World Rally Championship and European Rally Championships in 2011 and 2012 respectively.
As Hyundai prepares to take on the 2014 WRC Championship, Team Priniciple Michael Nandan says Hänninen will be a valuable asset to the team. Hyundai says it will announce a second test driver very soon, with drivers for the championship announced at the end of the year.
