New hardcore Exige takes on Targa Tasmania

The new Lotus Exige Cup 260 is to make its asphalt rally debut on the Targa Tasmania later this month.

The new car is lighter and more powerful than the standard Exige S, featuring carbonfibre on the engine cover, dashboard, door sills.

The Exige that will compete in the Targa Tasmania will be in showroom trim, which includes the factory-installed fully adjustable suspension, AP Racing brakes, fire extinguisher and battery cut-out systems.

The only addition is a Lotus Sport roll cage, which is a factory option.
