Over 20 cars, including the Mercedes-Benz S65 AMG, Nissan Nismo Juke RS and a new global SUV from Ford will have their world debuts at the LA motor show next month.

In total the show organisers say 22 world debuts are planned for the event, from manufacturers including Toyota, Chevrolet, Jaguar, Land Rover and Subaru. Nissan will also showcase a new Nismo concept car, believed to be the GT-R Nismo, which is currently trying to set a new lap record at the Nurburgring.

There will also be North American debuts for the likes of the Mercedes GLA and S63 AMG, BMW 4-series coupé and 4-series hybrid, and the new Cadillac Escalade. Jaguar's C-X17 SUV concept will also be seen in the US for the first time, while Volkswagen will show its e-Golf.

There will also be public debuts for the likes of the Porsche 911 Turbo and Turbo S cabriolets.

Show organisers say there will be a focus on green technology at the event, as new efficient technologies and new hybrid and electric vehicles are shown for the first time.

The LA motor show will take place between 19-21 November.

Our Verdict

Mercedes-Benz S-Class

The Mercedes S-Class is a fine luxury car and a technological masterstroke. It is calm but rewarding
