A Bugatti Veyron parked beside a 1300 Austin Metro isn’t a common sight at your average car show, but last weekend’s Grand Chelsea Rendezvous played host to these, and around 130 other classic, sports and supercars.
As Salon Privé was drawing to a close, members of the 96 Club turned up in their droves to the grounds of the Royal Hospital Chelsea. On the immaculately laid lawns sat dozens of Ford GT40s, Bristols, Alfa Giuliettas and Ferraris, alongside that unlikely union of Veyron and Metro.
The cavalcade to the event criss-crossed the Thames, taking in some of the most famous and expensive sights in London. The run was so over oversubscribed that organisers had to split the participants into two runs.
The Royal Chelsea Hospital has played host to car shows before, but increasing prices put off punters. The 96 Club’s organisers put that right, something that the 1000-plus visitors can attest.

Why do we get 2 photos of the thoroughly undesirable CV3?
Dacia Sandero for you then.

Bugatti Veyrons are complete
Bugatti Veyrons are complete nonsense, and I wouldn't be seen dead in some little Mini (crap).
