Leaked photos from a Russian website appear to show VW Golf estate

These are reported to be the first pictures of the new VW Golf estate.

The VW Golf estate is expected to be revealed at next week's Geneva motor show, and the pictures appeared today on a Russian website.

No details of the car were revealed, but its styling and engine line up is expected to closely follow that of the on-sale hatchback version of the VW Golf.

The new VW Golf GTI, VW Golf GTD, electric VW e-Golf are all expected to be shown in Geneva.

The last one looked very much like an afterthought after the Golf Plus debacle. At least it looks like this one was designed together with the normal Golf.

I must get my glasses changed.  For a moment I thought it was a BMW 3 series estate.

That would be the Hofmeister kink, then.

On American websites they're calling this a Jetta Estate.

In some markets the mk4 estate was called the bora estate and had a bora front end. In fact in some countries I believe they sold both bora and golf estates.

Estates don't have to be this boring do they?

But while they give more dashboard eyeline prominence to the central air vents to the detriment of SatNav, Radio and other control buttons I shall pass this one by.

I agree with Brava, this is a far better looking estate than the previous model.

Since the news of the Mercedes CLS Shooting Brake, estates have become cool again and VW have stepped up their game with this one.

Now all they need to do is offer it with the GTi engine to go head to head with the Focus ST estate!

It's all about the twisties........

What revolutionary styling (I think not)! The Volkswagen styling department is going the same way as Porsche. Just laughable!

I think the model that most looked like a Golf Estate was the mark4.
