Toyota has taken the wraps of its Prius + at the Geneva motor show
1 March 2011

Toyota has officially launched its Prius + model at the Geneva motor show.

The Toyota Prius + is the first full-hybrid seven-seater to be made available in Europe when it goes on sale in 2012.

Features include three seats in the second row that split and fold and also a third tier with 50/50 split and folding seats.

Also featured for the first time, is the introduction of lithium-ion batteries to the Prius model, which replaces the nickel-metal hydride batteries that are still used in the five-seat US spec Prius variant.
